Oborodudu falls to Michalik

Team Nigeria's wrestling campaign got off to the worst possible start on Wednesday afternoon when Blessing Oborududu was defeated 3-0 by Monika Michalik of Poland in the 63kg women’s freestyle wrestling event.

Both athletes had bye in the first round, but Michalik, who wrestled with great calmness overcame Oborududu.

Michalik won the first round 2-0, the second almost to the end remained 0-0, but then made a Polka share, for which earned her three points.

Oborodudu had no time to answer till the bell rang, leaving the Nigerian contingent to continue the search for their first medal in London.
